OUR APPRENTICE : DIASHA SCHOLEY
OUR APPRENTICE : DIASHA SCHOLEY
Diasha has joined us on a 2 year apprenticeship in partnership with Kendal College.
She has already completed her BTEC LEVEL 3 ANIMAL MANAGEMENT where she gained a DOUBLE GRADE DISTINCTION, while coming to us on placement.
We will continue to cover all aspects of care and handling, and understanding behaviour.
Diasha will also be involved in administration and record keeping in line with current licensing and legislation.
Diasha will be visited by her tutor from Kendal College on a regular basis to log her progress and she will also go into college for various lectures.
Our days are very busy and we walk many miles in different enviroments to ensure the best quality of day care, this in turn makes students days interesting and fun

WELFARE AND ADMINISTERING MEDICATION
It is essential that all our team are trained in welfare of the dogs in our care. A part of this is giving medication.
This can range from adding medicine to food, bathing and administering topical medicine to wounds or sores.
This is Diasha administering (under my supervision, on veterinary instruction) Flixotide steroid by inhaler.
Frankie is a star and calmly stands still to the count of ten as he gently breaths it in. This helps manage his diagnosed Bronchitis.
